The applicable scope
The LS produced GMC AC contactor. This series of products is 50Hz or 60Hz for the alternating current,
and the rated insulation voltage is 660V. Under the AC-3 use category, the rated working voltage is 380V.
It is mainly used for remotely turning on and turning off the circuit, and is suitable for controlling the starting,
stopping, and reverse of the AC motor.

The high-quality GMC AC contactor is used for 50Hz or 60Hz, and can be equipped with a special coil for
40-400Hz. The voltage can reach 660V, and the current can be up to 630A. It is used for turning on and turning
off the main circuit, and is suitable for the frequent starting and control of the motor. It can be matched with
various general-purpose electrical equipment such as relays, and can be used for various electrical equipment,

of the contactor coil are as follows:
1.The voltage of the control power supply is on the low side, resulting in the control voltage at the terminals
of the coil wiring being on the low side. When the voltage is low to a certain extent, the iron core cannot be
attracted, and the current in the coil at this time is several times the normal maintenance current (the size
of the current depends on the voltage size), and after a long time, the coil will overheat and burn out due to
excessive heating.
2.The control voltage at the terminals of the coil wiring is on the high side (> 1.1 * Us), which causes the coil to
overheat and burn out. For example, 380V voltage is applied to the 220V coil, and it will burn out in about 15
minutes, and the higher the voltage, the shorter the time required for the coil to burn out.
3.During the transportation and installation process, foreign objects fall into the contactor, resulting in the magnetic
circuit of the contactor coil not being closed, and the coil heats up and burns out.

Usage and maintenance
The contactor is of protective type, and the action structure is direct acting type, and the contacts are double
break points, which have the characteristics of small size, light weight, low power consumption, long service life,

Before installation, check the relevant technical data (such as rated voltage, current, operating frequency, etc.) to
see if it meets the requirements.
During installation, it should be installed according to the specified conditions. The terminal A1 of the contactor
coil should be facing upwards, which is in line with human visual habits.
For the contactor with a metal mounting base, it should be properly grounded.
The screw of the terminal should be tightened, and after checking that the wiring is correct, the attracting coil
should be powered on and switched several times before being put into use. The operation should be reliable after
the test.
If abnormal noise is found during use, it may be that there is dirt on the iron core pole surface. Please wipe the pole
surface clean.
During use, regular inspections should be carried out on various components of the product. If the moving parts are
not stuck, the fasteners are not loose, and if the components are damaged, they should be replaced in time.
